Where I Stood…

I stood in front of Harmony, thinking about the day ahead and about yesterday. I’m thinking about the party I’m going to miss, but I’ll be up in the northeast suburbs of Detroit, looking at tube purchases with Mark, possibly stopping to see some friends, checking out the Gibraltar Trade Center, and maybe, if I’m lucky, quaffing a brew at Dragonmead. It’s kind of a small road trip, and I love road trips. I’m also thinking about the ten little watercolors I did yesterday, how happy I am with nine of them, and how I should just throw the tenth one out, or redo it. I’ll show them to you over the next few days. I’m thinking maybe I should spend more time on the art that I might show, the art that I’m better at making, and less time on the silly watercolors, but I enjoy them so much! Now I’m thinking it’s time to jump in the shower. See ya!

Where I Stand Sunday is an ongoing photo essay examining the different places Lynn Krawczyk spends her life standing. Too often we take for granted the everyday places we spend our lives walking on. If you’d like to join her by posting a photo on Sunday of places you’ve been on your blog/photo hosting site/website, leave a comment on her Sunday posts telling her where she can find you/your photo and she’ll add a link to her sidebar so others can find you. I am one of those that Lynn has badgered into joining her, I have changed it to “where I stood”, because right now I’m sitting in front of the computer, not standing anywhere.

Where I Stood…

I stand amid the many wonderful and strange hostess gifts and Christmas presents people brought to my party. Some of which I don’t remember who gave them. Who handed me that box of bones again? I know that beer left under my pillow was from Julia. What cool things!!! Thank you all!

We had our big holiday party last night. I stand surrounded in beer bottles. Sixty seven people. Wonderful time. Moving kinda slow today.

In front of my tree, in the spirit of Christmas presents, er, I mean Christmas present. Here’s another shot of the tree, it won’t get ornaments until after Christmas.

Where I Stood…

This morning we had a small ice storm. Very small. It didn’t coat the trees and make them glitter. It just left patches of ice occasionally on the sidewalks. You know, just enough where you’re walking along saying “This isn’t bad at all” and then you hit that spot that make you wrench your back trying to stay vertical. So I spent the morning spreading ice melt around all the properties.
