Sharon's stuff

This is our good friend Sharon.   We hadn’t seen Sharon in quite a while, until Thursday night when she called with David Sedaris tickets.   Sharon is an antiques dealer.   She has two houses, one in Lansing and one in Canton.   She needs to sell the beautiful old Canton house.   But first, she needs to sell the many things she has stored in the house in Canton.   Mark and I went on a tour of the house yesterday.   These are some of the wonderful things Sharon has.   We don’t know yet when the sale will be, I will keep you posted.

Oh, and I have to let you know I’ve been immortalized!   Pattie has done a charcoal portrait of me and Leslyn, from one of the photos my friend Greg Baise took!   See her post about it here.

Beauty shop..

Of all the people you know, I would be the last person you think of when the word “beautician” is thrown around. None the less, today I died Chelsea’s hair. Blue, of course. Chelsea is a tenant who was ready to make her hair a wild color when I happened along, weeding the lawn. She asked if I would help, of course, I think everyone should have blue hair. That’s Chelsea’s daughter, a sweetheart and very good child, looking on in amazement.

Where I Stood…

In front of my tree, in the spirit of Christmas presents, er, I mean Christmas present. Here’s another shot of the tree, it won’t get ornaments until after Christmas.

Where I Stand Sunday is an ongoing photo essay examining the different places Lynn Krawczyk spends her life standing. Too often we take for granted the everyday places we spend our lives walking on. If you’d like to join her by posting a photo on Sunday of places you’ve been on your blog/photo hosting site/website, leave a comment on her Sunday posts telling her where she can find you/your photo and she’ll add a link to her sidebar so others can find you. I am one of those that Lynn has badgered into joining her, I have changed it to “where I stood”, because right now I’m sitting in front of the computer, not standing anywhere.

Amy's blog

My friend Amy just started a new blog, and if it’s as strange and wonderful as she is, it will be well worth reading. She’s a scrapbooker, but those of us who are not forgive her, ‘cuz she’s appropriately strange. So, check out Amy’s blog. (Sorry about the bad photo, the photographer had had too much to drink..)

My new blog

Welcome to my blog. My name is Leann Meixner. I am an artist living in Plymouth, Michigan, and I’ve finally decided to jump on the blogwagon. I live with my husband Mark and our two cats, the pure and good Rhythm and the evil Harmony.

Today was a downtown Detroit day, my friend Julia and I went to MOCAD.   MOCAD is the Museum of Contemporary Art, Detroit.   It was a very happy day, lots of art containing lots of words.

This is me, enjoying a morning cup of coffee on a recent trip to NYC.
