I made some booties for a couple of baby showers:My mother embroidered little shirts for the little ones:I painted a couple of signs, one for a sleeping baby, another for Tiger fans:Best of luck, little babies!!
I didn’t make it, but I did paint it. I’m quite happy with my little bowl. The Plymouth Arts and Recreation Complex (PARC) has a pottery studio with classes. It is a very groovy place to hang out, as is their art studio (with pet-able bunnies!)
The Northville Art House will hold an auction on Thursday, September 18th. They are auctioning off chairs painted by artists to benefit the Art House, and this is the second chair I painted. I call it rebirth.
The chair was another foundling, picked up by the side of the road. I felt it needed some Egyptian designs.
It is a pretty chair to start with, and I wanted it to feel just a little throne-like.
I had a lot of fun playing with the colors and shapes.
I called it rebirth because the lotus flower represented rebirth in ancient Egypt.
