I love our annual trip to North Carolina. I love to see the flowers blooming!
I do love the trip, but driving through the mountains, beautiful as they are, tends to make me a little sick.
There is a sense of joy in the south, people do love color!
Mark and I just got back from a wonderful road trip to Charlotte, North Carolina!
Most my mornings start with a lovely cup of tea!
This very tiny house has been taking up much of Mark’s time for a couple of months now, and more recently a lot of my time. It’s a one bedroom house (yeah, you read that right) that had many of the usual problems. Mark, along with a carpenter, electrician and plumber, has replaced electric, plumbing, built a closet, replaced bad drywall, built shelves, and replaced a bunch of the front wall due to termite damage. It is the first time we’ve encountered actual termite damage. I’ve been doing a lot of painting and cleaning. It’s almost ready! I think Mark has turned it into a tiny treasure, I’m quite proud of the place!
Congratulations are in order for my friend, Lynn Krawczyk! Her book is finally in print, and it is beautiful!
Lynn is an amazing artist and writer. Her book shows you many interesting ways to get paint of fabric, it is a delight! Congratulations, Lynn, job well done!
Hungry cat, waiting for dinner. I watched Gravity tonight, and later I’m going to watch Neil Degrasse Tyson’s Cosmos, so I’m having a very spacey evening, feeling quite insignificant in the bizarre vastness of space.
