The artists’ trading cards art group is meeting Wednesday this week, and I’ll be giving a small lesson and talk on drawing. I’m excited about it, I’ve even make sketchbooks for the group!

I made Pattie a box of rubber stamps and sent it to her to thank her for her generosity.

Nine stamps, a stamp pad, and three button books.

She liked it!
Last week at a meeting of one of the art groups we had a lesson from Ingrid Dijkers. We learned how to make her butterfly book from a kit she put together! We had soo much fun! Mine, however, didn’t quite turn out like Ingrid’s.

Ingrid is incredibly talented and did a great job with the workshop. She was sweetly delighted with all our strange variations.
I made 2010 date books for Jane, Julia and me.

It’s Cinco de Mayo! Maybe margaritas tonight!
I made a button book/journal for friends off on a trip.
I just finished making a sign in book for the Two Twelve Art Center.

I hope they like it!

This one is for writing your wishes.

Last night Mark and I went out to Tasca de Plata in Canton. We had tapas and Sangria, and watched flamenco dancers. The food was good, the deserts were amazing, the dancers energetic and beautiful, but the really strange part is the restaurant is a former diner. The poor owners are trying to make this chrome and glass shiny diner look dark and Spanish and ornate, and it’s not quite comin’ off. Maybe they’ll do well enough that they can move to another location. It made for a very fun evening, though.
