Yes, it’s true, I was raptured this past weekend. I’m going to go with the second meaning here, though I was transported, by a plane.
I finally got it all together, and after much planning, went to New York City with my mom and my sister. We’ve been there together a couple of times before, and it is always heaven. They are my museum buddies, and NYC is the land of museums!
We started by getting mom in the Mood. Project Runway fans will know what I’m talking about. Mood is the amazing fabric store featured in the show, and it is wonderful. A visit to Mood will make you want to spit on all the fabric at your local JoAnn’s when you get home. This place is truly sensory overload.
Then we wandered through as much of MOMA (the Museum of Modern Art) as our chubby little legs would take us, and went back to the hotel for a well earned rest.
You can recognize this Golden Boy from any angle. Jane and I had both been to Rockefeller Center, but we wanted to get a good view of New York at night. First stop, meet up with Prometheus.
Visit all the flags on the plaza.
Check out the view of the Rock from the bottom.
Then on to the Top of the Rock! I hadn’t seen the view at night before, absolutely breathtaking!
