In front of a wall in the basement of the new house, where Mark and I have been scraping flaking paint. Today we put fresh paint on the wall.
I’m kinda weird, I like the way the walls look when they’re at their worst, it’s not going to be nearly so pretty when it’s plain white.
We also had the back yard excavated. Stone will be brought in tomorrow.
I know every spring us bloggers put on pictures of flowers, but it is miraculous, and we can’t help it. This is our cherry tree doing its thing.
After a hard day of work, last night Mark and I went out with Tony to catch some funky jazzy jammin’ from Soulive at the Magic Bag in Ferndale. It was a great show, lotsa beats, lotsa dancing. Big happy surprise-no smoking at Soulive shows. Very nice. Small disappointment-Neal Evans plays a modern Hammond B3, so there was no twirling Leslie to watch.
Where I Stand Sunday is an ongoing photo essay examining the different places Lynn Krawczyk spends her life standing. Too often we take for granted the everyday places we spend our lives walking on. If you’d like to join her by posting a photo on Sunday of places you’ve been on your blog/photo hosting site/website, leave a comment on her Sunday posts telling her where she can find you/your photo and she’ll add a link to her sidebar so others can find you. I am one of those that Lynn has badgered into joining her, I have changed it to “where I stoodâ€, because right now I’m sitting in front of the computer, not standing anywhere.
